What does Little Falls Village offer?
Community Members access a rich array of social and educational programs, both in-person and via Zoom, such as outings to local landmarks, member-led affinity groups, and events on art, history, science, literature, yoga, meditation, and more.
Full Members receive all the benefits of Community Membership
plus the option of requesting assistance from Little Falls Village volunteers. Typical requests include:
- Transportation to doctor appointments, grocery shopping, and routine errands.
- Light household tasks, such as minor repairs, collecting mail, and watering plants.
- Computer and gadgetry support.
- Companionship via scheduled phone conversations or friendly visits.
Volunteers form deeper connections within our community, ensuring that our community remains a place that cares for each other now and for years to come.
How does it work?
Members and volunteers make the village work.
Members typically join from age 50 and beyond. Many folks start out as volunteers, later transitioning to
Full Members to receive the help they so kindly have given to others. Others join as
Community Members, supporting the concept of the Village while building new friendships and ensuring the Village will be strong when they need services as well as activities.
Volunteers from the community are trained, covered by insurance, and supervised as needed. Volunteers don’t need to be over 50, just willing and able (and able to pass a background check)!
Business Partners strengthen the Village community with financial support, enlightening programming, and event support.
